When will I be contacted?
Answer: A coach will contact you sometime during the week of September 2nd - 9th. They will give you instructions on when the first practice or tryout may be.
What days are practices/games on?
Answer: Mandatory practice days are Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Any other day is optional. Season games for tackle players will typically be on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday with an occasional Saturday. Games for the Flag Division will play on Saturdays with an occasional game on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.
When do practices/games start?
Answer: Practices will start September 10th. Jamboree will be Saturday, September 29th. During the jamboree a gate fee will be required. Regular season games do not have a gate fee. You will also take team pictures during the Jamboree. Season games will start the week of October 1st and go until the end of November or middle of December depending on if your team qualifies for the playoff and super bowl.
How many games will the team play?
Answer: Your child will play a 8-12 game season with a playoff game and a Super Bowl if the team qualifies. The season 1st place team will have a bye to the Super Bowl. The 2nd and 3rd place teams will play a playoff game with the winner going to the super bowl. Playoff and Super Bowl games will have a gate fee.
What do I need to buy?
Answer: Players are required to buy.
- Helmet - Tackle Players Only
- Shoulder Pads - Tackle Players Only
- Practice Pants - Flag and Tackle Players. (Some Flag coaches allow practice in shorts.)
- Practice Jersey - Tackle Players Only. (Flag can practice in t-shirt)
- Cleats - Flag and Tackle Players.
- Game Pants & Socks. (Coach for Flag and Tackle will let you know what color)
Game Jersey will be provided for both flag and tackle divisions.
We recommend shopping at Cenla Sports (5615 Coliseum Blvd, Alexandria, 71303) to find any equipment that you might need.
